Bogie Open Wagon Modified --- In 2005 for operation up to CC+6+2 T, suspension of BOXN modified by providing four additional springs O-2 & I-2. Having a maximum axle load of 22.82 T these are modified BOXN mounted on two cast steel CASNUB 22 NLB Bogies with single pipe pneumatic air-brake system & non transition CBC. These wagons are in extensive use for transportation of coal, various ores and minerals in Indian Railways. Speed potential of BOXNM1 wagons with CC+6/CC+8 loading is 80/60 kmph in empty/loaded condition. Capacity - 58.3 Tonnes. Type - BOXNM1.
