Agra Cantonment

Agra Cantt --- Located near the Sadar Bazaar towards the southwest of the Agra city. Delhi-Bandikui and Bandikui-Agra meter-gauge lines of Rajputana State Railway were opened in 1874. The broad gauge Agra-Delhi chord was opened in 1904. The Agra-Jaipur line was later converted to BG in 2005. Agra - the 16-17th century capital of the Mughals, is home to monuments such as the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The station thus handles a large number of crowd all throught the year. The station have six platforms with stoppage of over 146 trains. The fastest train of India - Bhopal Shatabdi stops here. Station code - AGC.
