A special purpose vehicle, L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL), was incorporated which carried out the construction work of the largest Public Private Partnership (PPP) project in the world, in the Metro rail sector, with a total network of seventy-two kilometers spread across Hyderabad/Secunderabad. Following construction completion in 2017, a 30-km stretch from Miyapur-Ameerpet (Red Line) & Ameerpet-Nagole (Blue Line), with 24 stations, was inaugurated making it the longest rapid transit metro line opened in one go in India.
