NG General Sitting --- These narrow-gauge rakes were in extensive use in passenger trains across the remotest part of the country where there were only NG penetration specially parts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, Gujrat & West Bengal of which some still exist but on the verge of extinction due to the inevitable & somewhat forced/impractical/unneccessary gauge conversion works. In due course of time narrow-gauge trains will soon be history apart from the Heritage Mountain Railways. Some of these NG rakes still flaunts the age old maroon livery of IR rolling stocks. The only thing which bothers that for our upcoming generation there will only be photographs like these which will narrate the stories of these century-old rail services. Type - GS.
